Citizen of the Planet, of the World and UN Global Compact
Social_responsability

As part of our people-centric culture, Teleperformance recognizes the importance of being socially and environmentally responsible. We are a global company with a presence in 65 countries and 190,000 employees and, as the global leader in our sector, we recognize we have the responsibility to set the best standards and examples for not only our own people, but for our industry worldwide. For Teleperformance, it is a priority to help those in need, to lessen our impact on the environment, and to protect human rights through our Citizen of the World, Citizen of the Planet and UN Global Compact Initiatives.

In short, we believe investing in social responsibility and practicing sustainability not only positively reinforces our culture, but it helps drive tangible business results.

Regarding Corporate Citizenship, 2015 was our most successful year yet and we could not be more proud of the tangible actions of our entire Teleperformance family!!!  Citizen of the World raised a new record of more than $5.4 million (USD) in cash and in-kind donations….far exceeding our annual $1 million commitment to the Clinton Global Initiative. Since 2006, we have raised a total of $24 million (USD) in cash and in-kind donations benefitting the lives of more than 1.1 million members of the global community. Also this past year, our people volunteered almost 53,000 hours for charitable and environmental causes all around the world. Our charitable activities are adapted to the needs of our local communities. Whether its Teleperformance China performing for the elderly at the Nanning Social Institute for Chinese New Year, Teleperformance Greece collecting donations for refugees or Teleperformance USA partnering with Feed the Children to lend a hand to distribute 13 truckloads of food, essentials and other services to 5,200 families. Our causes are varied as we raise awareness of everything from disability employment at Teleperformance France, to the importance of blood donations in Teleperformance Lebanon. Regarding our green efforts, we systematically reduced our carbon footprint through targeted Citizen of the Planet actions such as protecting our habitat, observing environmental awareness days, investing in energy efficient buildings and deploying renewable energy projects. We regularly organize activities to enhance our local environments, like reforesting in Teleperformance Mexico, tree planting in Marikina Watershed in Teleperformance Philippines and in Hermosa Beach with Teleperformance Costa Rica on Arbor Day.

This is just a small sample of the constant efforts that we make to align our performance goals at Teleperformance with causes that not only affect the world around us, but also bring our employees closer together. For the 5th consecutive year, we renewed our commitment to the UN Global Compact. In our efforts to continuously improve our adherence to the 10 principles, our Global CSR Committee has issued eight global policies in the areas of Human Rights, Labor Standards, Environment and Anti-Corruption. In 2015, we were awarded the Coca-Cola FEMSA Gold Award for Quality and Sustainability, the Grand Prix de la Transparence in the Consumer Services, the AT&T Supplier Diversity Crystal award. Our continuing commitment to CSR was independently recognized through inclusion in the Euronext Vigeo Eurozone 120 list of leading companies for environmental, social and governance performance. We capped 2015 by attaining the enterprise-wide Social Responsibility Standard certification by Verego. Congratulations and well done to our Teleperformance people everywhere!

Moving forward to 2016 and our 10th anniversary of Citizen of the World, we know we can do even more and better and we remain totally committed to continuing to make a positive difference in people’s lives and making the world a better place.
